About Me

Biography

I have been teaching Biology and Environmental Science, since 2007. I love teaching these courses because of the opportunities to meet and interact with students from various origins, fields and cultures.

In addition, I am a scientist at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory working at the National Ignition Facility (the largest laser in the world!). I feel that with my background as a researcher,  I can provide real examples of scientific concepts that help promote student learning.

At De Anza College, I teach the ES Wildlife Science Technician Program field classes (ESCI 82, 57 and 58) and Environmental Biology (ESCI 19). I love taking students outdoors to explore and learn about all the biodiversity we have in our community.

To find out more about me, come and take a class with me at De Anza College.
