RAPP (Resource Allocation and Program Planning) - Librarian Emergency Position
Due to a recent librarian vacancy resulting from a retirement over the summer, RAPP requests College Council approval to hire a librarian in order to meet the minimum number of librarians required by the Board of Governors based on the size of our college.
Hearn noted the Personnel request form and Dean justifications foms along with other key documents that they rely on. The Title 5 Reference includes table (a) that states how many faculty librarians support are required based on student body, in the fall De Anza had around 4900 students which is in the 3,001-5,000 range according to the table. The other document is from state wide academic senate document where it says Board of Governors sets these minimums and we need to meet or exceed.
RAPP has approved these position and seeks approval from College Council.
College Council members approved the recommendation.
