About Me
Hello! I am a career and transfer counselor and human development instructor in the General Counseling Center at De Anza College.
It is an honor to work with De Anza students! I have worked at De Anza College for 23 years and have worked in student services at various public and private universities for nearly 30 years. I attended the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) for my undergraduate degree and Colorado State University and San José State University for my graduate degrees. Having lived, studied, and worked abroad, I have a wide knowledge of and appreciation for foreign higher education systems.
Outside the classroom some of my interests are vocal ensembles and choirs, hiking, Team in Training charity cycle events, volunteering in the community, traveling the globe, and spending time with my son and many nieces and nephews. At De Anza College, I am a member of various governance committees, groups and tenure committees. I also have a strong interest in the outdoors and the arts.
As a counselor, my goal is your success! Please stop by my office in RSS 207 (above the Bookstore) and let me know how I can assist you in reaching your goal(s).
